Who I am
​
I am a trained leadership coach who has served as CEO of both private and public technology companies as well as professional services for over 20 years.

I have successfully scaled several organizations, led a global company with operations on five continents, established innovative business models and driven numerous efficiency programs. I have built and led world class executive teams over many years.
Now I serve on several boards and I support selective CEOs and other senior leaders on their leadership journeys

During my 25 years in the technology industry, I was given the opportunity to lead three different organizations through phases of rapid growth.
Between 2002 and 2008 I was the Country Manager of Ebay Germany. At the time it was the biggest Ebay-market outside of the US. Under my leadership the German business grew almost 10 x from $100m in revenues to $1B.
From 2009 until 2013 I served as CEO of New Work SA (formerly XING AG) replacing its founder Lars Hinrichs. My job was to grow and professionalize the business. The company tripled in size during my tenure.
From 2014 until 2024 I was a (Senior) Partner at BCG. I became employee #1 of BCG Digital Ventures - the incubation and investment subsidiary of BCG - in Berlin, built the European business and ultimately was promoted to be global CEO from 2018 until 2022. During that time we built the business from practically zero to several hundred million dollars in revenues and incubated 200+ new businesses.
Since leaving BCG in 2024, I’ve been focusing on board seats and on my work with a select number of CEOs supporting them in their leadership journeys. Few people know that I’m actually a lawyer by training with a PhD in antitrust law. I also hold an MBA from INSEAD. More importantly, I am happily married and a father of four beautiful children.
